I used some lavendar earl grey I had and might make it a tad stronger next time. Had to strain the tea out because it wasn't so fine, but left a subtle flavor that was great. My only issue was that I had more greenish red rhubarb and after cooking it down, I was a bit nervous my glaze was going to be a greenish brown mess. Thank goodness it lightened up with the sugar and cream cheese to a really pale yellow. No pretty pink for us, but regardless everyone gobbled it down, had seconds and it seemed to be a hit. I was pretty proud of myself. I was using tea bags so the leaves were already quite fine so there wasn't any issue with the texture. But if you are using loose leaf tea I would probably suggest straining it out before you add it to the batter.Stephcookiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13287192870684938203noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1455891724757786007.post-54649682142782219832013-03-30T14:32:59.693+11:002013-03-30T14:32:59.693+11:00Hi Steph,

It should be stronger the longer you steep the tea leaves in the hot liquid for. If you think the water made it too light, you could try replacing the water with more milk and just steeping the tea leaves in hot milk.Stephcookiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13287192870684938203noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1455891724757786007.post-10386316663856914152012-04-27T09:08:25.074+10:002012-04-27T09:08:25.074+10:00Oh that's a pity you found it heavy, in my pos...Oh that's a pity you found it heavy, in my post I said it looked dense but actually turned out to be quite light in the middle.
